What We’ve Learned So Far…
Hey, it’s us again, and we’re still here – still working hard at playing hard. And what we’ve learned so far, is that alone, in and of itself, is something to be proud of. In other words, we’re still standing! Recently, we watched a commencement speech given by the consummate professional actor, Robert De Niro, at Tisch; and it pretty much summed up what we’ve been experiencing and going through since we began this whole journey. We won’t repeat it, but what we took away from that whole message is this: Your passion finds you. And when it does… Life as you know it, is OVER!!! Simultaneously, it has also just begun.
We’ve learned that it’s better looking for the hard work that needs doing, because we’re in it for the long haul. We’re looking for the success of longevity, which doesn’t always reap immediate results; but it certainly gives us something to look forward to, day by day, as we keep getting the music out there as best as we can. And though it can be daunting and frustrating to the point where you wish there was a room sequestered off mainly so you can trash furniture and vent your pent up emotions… it’s still the best job out there, bar none.
This past Saturday, May 23rd, we got to play at an amazing event, The Artservatory, that seeks to promote artists and their talents. For Session X, we got up on stage and did what we do believe we were made to do: Play.

RAMEKEGA at The Artservatory Session X
We’d also like to give a shout out to The Bell Weathers. They were on the bill that night too, and played with a fun and upbeat set. We found out we all shared a common admiration for the Doobie Brothers!!!
As we get ready with more rehearsals and upcoming shows, we’d like to leave you with this Takeaway Point: Don’t give up. The world needs Dreamers. And not just dreamers, but Brave ones.
