Terry Kirkman, Joe Lamanno and RAMEKEGA
On Saturday, July 2, 2011, a sort of musical history was made. After 20+ years of being absent from the stage, Terry Kirkman (co-founder and long-time member of the quintessential group, The Association) played host, and also performed to a full house at The Coffee Gallery Backstage in Altadena, CA. The evening also showcased the amazing talents of Nancy & Phil, Joe Lamanno (bassist for The Association), and Duane Thorin. Taking the stage as his special guests, RAMEKEGA performed a set and then – to the delight of the author, and the audience – sang a song written by Terry Kirkman called, “Cherish.”
RAMEKEGA at Swoop’s World Late Night
We had a truly wonderful time at Swoop’s World Late Night (Long Beach, CA). The interview with Hosts Swoop and Peter (and, also Chris and Taylor) was a highlight in our increasingly busy schedule. Artists such as Grace Slick, have been past guests, and now, RAMEKEGA. Fellow artists and friends: Raspin Stuwart, Marc Platt, and Dregs of Pele have also been featured.
